AnswerForce pricing and AnswerForce cost per call for every published plan

AnswerForce charges $349 for 200 minutes plus a $75 setup fee, $389 for 300 minutes or $669 for 500, with extra minutes at $2.00 or $1.85 and every call rounded up to the whole minute. The middle plan beats the entry plan above 220 minutes and the largest plan below about 450. Here is every plan as a cost per call and what the same calls cost elsewhere.

AnswerForce pricing starts at $349 a month for 200 minutes plus a $75 setup fee, then $389 for 300 minutes and $669 for 500 minutes, with no setup fee on the two larger plans. Extra minutes cost $2.00 on the entry plan and $1.85 on the other two, every call is rounded up to the next whole minute, and the first 30 interactions under 30 seconds in each billing cycle are free. We read the card on AnswerForce's own plans page on October 20, 2026.

For a typical three minute call that comes to about $3.89 to $6.98 a call, depending on how many calls you take. The card also has a quirk worth knowing before you choose: the cheapest plan is the worst value on it, and the largest published plan costs more per minute than the middle one. Both are worked through below, with the volume where each plan stops being the right one and what the same calls cost from other services.

How much does AnswerForce cost?

Here is every plan AnswerForce publishes, with each one converted to an effective rate per included minute and to the cost of one three minute call when the plan is fully used. AnswerForce shows a "view larger plans" option on the same page, but prices above 500 minutes are not listed, so for anything bigger you need a quote.

AnswerForce plan Monthly price Included minutes Each extra minute Setup fee Effective rate per minute One 3 minute call
Intro$349200$2.00$75$1.75$5.24
Best Value (marked most popular)$389300$1.85None$1.30$3.89
Growth$669500$1.85None$1.34$4.01

Every plan includes the same features: 24/7 live answering, live chat on your website, a business phone line, appointment scheduling, the mobile app and team messaging. AnswerForce's FAQ adds that outbound calls, bilingual English and Spanish answering and after hours answering are included at no extra cost. You can upgrade or downgrade in any month. The plans page does not state a contract length or cancellation terms and refers you to the terms of service for those.

How does AnswerForce bill a minute?

AnswerForce bills every interaction per minute and rounds it up to the nearest whole minute. A call that lasts two minutes and ten seconds is billed as three. Across a month that adds about half a minute to the average call, which on a 300 minute plan is roughly 15 percent more usage than the stopwatch would show. If your calls are short (hours, directions, "are you open Saturday"), rounding matters even more, because a 40 second call bills as a full minute.

Two other lines on the card change the real bill. The first 30 interactions under 30 seconds in each billing cycle are free, which covers wrong numbers and hang ups for a small business but not for a busy one. And live chat counts against the same minutes as calls: the overage line on every plan reads "per additional minute or chat", so if you turn on the website chat that comes with the plan, those conversations draw down your phone minutes too.

Which AnswerForce plan is cheapest for your call volume?

The middle plan, almost always. The Intro plan is $40 cheaper than Best Value but includes 100 fewer minutes, charges more for every extra minute and adds a $75 setup fee. Once you use more than 220 minutes in a month (about 73 three minute calls), Intro plus overage costs more than Best Value would have, and in the first month the setup fee wipes out the saving below that point too. Intro only makes sense if you are confident you will stay well under 200 minutes every month.

At the other end, Growth includes 500 minutes for $669, which is $1.34 a minute, slightly more than Best Value's $1.30. Best Value plus overage at $1.85 stays cheaper than Growth until about 452 minutes a month, roughly 150 calls. Above that, Growth wins, and above 500 minutes you are paying $1.85 for each extra minute or asking for a larger plan by quote.

  • Under about 70 calls a month: Intro, at $349 plus $75 to start, if you are sure you will stay under 200 minutes. Otherwise Best Value.
  • About 70 to 150 calls: Best Value at $389, plus $1.85 a minute past 300.
  • About 150 to 165 calls: Growth at $669.
  • Above about 165 calls: Growth plus $1.85 a minute, or ask AnswerForce for a larger plan quote.

What AnswerForce costs per call at four call volumes

This is the cost of the cheapest AnswerForce plan for each volume, at a three minute billed average, next to what the same calls cost from other answering services that publish their prices. Live services bill the minutes, AI receptionists bill per call or flat. PATLive, Specialty Answering Service and Moneypenny were read from their own pricing pages on October 15, 2026, Upfirst and Smith.ai on October 14.

Provider Who answers 50 calls (150 min) 100 calls (300 min) 150 calls (450 min) 250 calls (750 min)
AnswerForceLive$349 (Intro, plus $75 setup)$389 (Best Value)$666.50 (Best Value plus 150 min)$1,131.50 (Growth plus 250 min)
Specialty Answering ServiceLive$231$384.20$600.20$984
PATLiveLive$293.50$479$759$1,206.50
Moneypenny live receptionistsLive$371$613$899.50$1,402.50
UpfirstAI$59.95$69.95$119.95$159.95
PhoneAgent.aiAI, books the appointment$89$89$89$199
Smith.ai AI receptionistAI$150$212.50$270$500

Among live services AnswerForce is competitive in the middle of its range and expensive at the edges. At 100 calls its Best Value plan is effectively tied with Specialty Answering Service and cheaper than PATLive and Moneypenny. At 50 calls the Intro plan costs more than Specialty Answering Service and PATLive and adds a $75 setup fee, and at 150 calls Specialty Answering Service is about $66 cheaper. The rounding rule is not in these numbers either: AnswerForce rounds every call to the whole minute, while PATLive bills the first minute in full and then in six second increments, so for short calls the real gap is wider than the table shows.

The AI rows are a different product at a different price. They cost a fraction of any live plan because nothing is billed by the minute, and the comparison is only fair if an AI receptionist can handle your calls. For a full ranking of both kinds, see our best answering service comparison, and for the category as a whole, answering service cost converts every published rate card to the same cost per call.

Is AnswerForce worth the price?

For a business that wants a person on every call, AnswerForce is a reasonable buy at 70 to 150 calls a month on the Best Value plan, and it carries real trust signals: its plans page shows a Trustpilot rating based on 966 reviews and a Forbes Best Answering Service 2026 badge. Spanish, outbound calls and website chat are included instead of sold as add-ons, which is not true at every competitor. If you also want the chat side covered by software rather than minutes, an AI chatbot for your website answers visitors without drawing down a phone plan.

It is a weaker buy in three situations. A small business taking 40 calls a month pays $349 plus setup for a plan it uses half of. A business with many short calls loses a meaningful share of its minutes to rounding. And a business whose calls are mostly booking appointments is paying a person by the minute to do something that software now does in the same call. If any of those describes you, compare it with a flat fee option first. Our PATLive pricing and VoiceNation pricing breakdowns cover the two live services buyers most often weigh against AnswerForce.

What is a cheaper alternative to AnswerForce?

For a business that needs the phone answered, questions handled and appointments booked, an AI receptionist is the cheaper alternative at every volume in the table above. PhoneAgent.ai answers every call 24/7 for a flat $89 a month for about 150 calls, books the appointment into Google Calendar, Outlook, Calendly or Acuity during the call, texts back callers who hang up, and tells every caller in its first sentence that it is an AI assistant. Professional at $199 adds warm transfer to a person for the calls your rules say a human should take. There is no setup fee, no minute meter and no contract, and paying yearly halves the price.

It is not the right alternative if your callers expect a human receptionist or your calls need judgment that you would not trust to a script. In that case Specialty Answering Service is the cheapest live service in the table at most volumes, and PATLive offers a trial before you commit. You can see what each PhoneAgent.ai plan includes on plans and pricing, or read how the receptionist handles calls on AI answering service.
