Jobber AI Receptionist costs $29 a month for 30 conversations, then $0.79 for every conversation after that, on top of the Jobber plan you already pay for. On the Plus plan it is included with unlimited use. That makes it cheap for a solo operator with a quiet phone and steadily more expensive as call and text volume grows: at 150 conversations a month the add-on alone is $123.80.

If you run a lawn care, cleaning, HVAC or plumbing business on Jobber, the Receptionist add-on is the obvious first thing to try, and for a lot of shops it is the right answer. The question worth doing the arithmetic on is where it stops being the cheap option. How much does Jobber AI Receptionist cost?

Jobber's own help article for the product, "Receptionist, powered by Jobber AI", states the price in three sentences: Receptionist is included on the Plus plan with unlimited usage; it can be added to select plans for $29 per month, which includes 30 conversations; and if you go over 30 conversations in a billing cycle, Jobber charges $0.79 per additional conversation. The pricing page lists the same $29 add-on and, in its feature table, marks Receptionist as an add-on on the three lower plans and included on Plus.

The add-on never sits alone. You need a Jobber subscription underneath it, and here is that card as Jobber's pricing page showed it in September 2026, at the one user level for the three lower plans and the five user level for Plus:

Extra users are $29 a month each on every plan, Connect and Grow are also sold in five, ten and fifteen user versions, and Plus in ten and fifteen, at higher prices. A one year commitment paid monthly sits between the two columns above. None of that changes the Receptionist math, which only cares about how many conversations you have.

What counts as a conversation in Jobber Receptionist?

A call counts once the AI actively engages with the caller. Calls it identifies as spam, and conversations tagged as "no conversation", do not count. A text conversation starts when Receptionist first replies to an incoming message and stays open for up to 24 hours, so a customer who texts three times in one afternoon is one conversation, not three.

That definition matters more than the headline price. Jobber bills calls and texts from the same allowance, so a shop that gets 80 calls and 40 text threads a month is at 120 conversations, not 80. Count both before you estimate your bill.

Is Jobber Receptionist worth it?

For a business that already lives in Jobber and takes fewer than about 100 conversations a month, usually yes. Its biggest advantage is one no outside service can match: when enabled, it uses your Jobber Online Booking form to schedule the job straight into your Jobber calendar, and call recordings and transcripts sit in the conversation details. There is nothing to re-key. It can also hand a call to a team member's phone through an escalation policy.

Three things are worth checking before you rely on it:

• You need a Jobber dedicated phone number. Jobber's help article says a dedicated phone number is still required, and those are available in the US, Canada and the UK. Ask whether your plan includes one and how porting your existing business number works.
• Language support is not published. The help article does not list which languages Receptionist speaks. If a real share of your callers speak Spanish, test it with a Spanish call during your trial before you switch your number over.
• Only admins can see it. The Receptionist dashboard and settings are limited to admin users, so a dispatcher on a lower permission level cannot tune its answers.
