Podium pricing and Podium cost: what Podium charges per month, the fees on top, and what the AI Employee adds

Podium pricing is quote only today: Podium's pricing page shows no dollar figures and sends every visitor to sales. The last prices Podium published itself, on its pricing page as archived on 24 June 2025, were $399 a month for Core, $599 a month for Pro and a custom quote for Signature, with phone seats at $30 per user, a $5 monthly texting registration fee per location and a $500 network fee per location on top. The AI Employee that answers calls is a separate add-on with no published price.

If you are pricing Podium, you are probably trying to answer two questions at once: what the real monthly bill will be, and whether you need the whole platform or only one part of it. This article answers both. It puts every figure Podium has published in one place, builds a realistic monthly cost for a single location, lists what Podium no longer tells you, and shows what the phone-answering part costs if you buy it on its own.

How much does Podium cost?

Here is the plan card exactly as Podium published it on its own pricing page before it removed the prices. We read these from the page's archived copy of 24 June 2025. By the archived copy of January 2026 the prices were gone, and in September 2026 the live page says only "talk to our sales team for details".

The same archived page listed the extras that sit on top of the plan. Podium Phones seats were $30 per user a month for one to four users and $25 per user for five or more. A base 10DLC texting registration fee of $5 a month applied to every US location. A $500 "network optimization fee per location" applied to the phone system. High-volume carrier-verified messaging and bulk actions were $15 a month each on Core and included on Pro. HVAC businesses were told to contact sales for their own pricing.

Why doesn't Podium show its prices anymore?

Podium has not said. What we can see is the change itself: the June 2025 page printed $399 and $599 next to the plans, and the January 2026 page carried the same plan structure with no numbers. In 2026 the pricing page leads with the AI Employee, an assistant Podium calls Jerry, which it describes as an add-on that "sells, schedules, and communicates with customers day and night". When the product with the most variable cost becomes the headline, a quote-only model lets the sales team price the bundle case by case.

The practical effect for a buyer is that the old card is a floor, not a price. Treat $399 as the lowest figure you should expect for a single location on the entry plan, and expect the AI Employee, extra locations and phone seats to be priced on top.

What does Podium really cost per month?

Take a single-location business with three staff who answer the phone, using Podium for reviews, texting and calls. Using only the figures Podium published:

That first-year figure does not include the AI Employee, payment processing fees on any card payments you take through Podium, or extra bulk message credits. A second location roughly doubles the plan line, because Podium prices by location. Buyers on review sites commonly describe annual agreements, and Podium does not publish its contract terms, so ask for the term, the renewal notice period and the cancellation terms in writing before you sign.

How much does the Podium AI Employee cost?

Podium does not publish a price for the AI Employee, and it never did on the archived pages we checked. The 2025 card placed AI Concierge on Pro and AI Scheduler and AI Salesperson on Signature; the 2026 page folds them into one AI Employee "add-on". Because it is an add-on, the bill has at least two parts: the base plan and the AI on top.

That matters if the reason you are looking at Podium is the phone. If what you actually need is for every call to be answered and booked, you would be buying a $399 to $599 platform in order to add a phone assistant to it. Is Podium worth the money?

Podium is worth it for a business that will use most of the platform. If you run a multi-location dealership, dental group or home services company and you want reviews, payments, webchat, text marketing and phones in one inbox with one login, the bundle replaces four or five separate tools, and $600 to $700 a month per location can be a fair price for that. Podium's integrations with industry systems and its review engine are real strengths, and a standalone phone tool does not write into the Podium inbox.

Podium is hard to justify when you need one part of it. The three situations we see most often:

• You mainly want Google reviews. A dedicated review request software tool sends the review asks after each job without a phone system, inbox and payments bundle attached.
• You mainly want calls answered. An AI receptionist answers every call, books into your calendar and texts back missed callers, at a published flat price.
• You are a single location with a small team. The per-location pricing and the phone seat charges are built for multi-location operators, and a small business pays for management features it will not use.

What are cheaper Podium alternatives for answering calls?

If the phone is the job, here is what the same workload costs from AI receptionists that publish prices. The model is 200 calls a month at a three minute average, priced from each vendor's own pricing page in September 2026.

Does Podium have a free trial?

Podium's pricing page does not offer a free trial or a self-serve signup. Every plan button leads to a demo request or a sales call, and the price is set in that conversation. That is normal for a platform sold per location with onboarding included, but it means you cannot test the AI Employee on your own calls before you commit.

What should you ask Podium before you sign?

Because nothing is published, the quote is the whole negotiation. Ask for each of these in writing:

1. The monthly plan price per location, and whether it is billed monthly or annually.
2. The price of the AI Employee add-on, and whether it has usage limits or overage charges on calls, minutes or messages.
3. The phone seat price for your number of users, and whether the $500 per location network fee still applies.
4. The contract length, auto-renewal terms and the notice needed to cancel.
5. Your payment processing rate, if you will take payments through Podium.
6. What happens to your phone number and your review history if you leave.

Then compare the total against what you would pay for the parts you actually need. If the answer is "most of it", Podium is a reasonable buy. If the answer is "the phone", an AI receptionist with a published price is the cheaper and faster route.
